Flag Troop

The Ryan Elementary School - Royals Flag Troop, has a special job on our campus. They serve our school by raising, lowering and caring for our school's American and Arizona flags every school day. The flag troop is manned by a dedicated group of 5th and 6th graders who perform this honorable task.
Serving our school in this role is a great way for kids to practice responsibility, engage in positive behaviors and learn about service to their community. Behaviors that will benefit them for a lifetime. With honor, we serve.

The Royals Flag Troop has a special job on our campus. They serve our school by raising and lowering our school’s American and Arizona flags every school day. The flag troop is looking for a dedicated group of 5th and 6th graders ready to perform this honorable task.
Serving our school in this role is a great way for kids to practice responsibility, engage in positive behavior and learn about service to their community. Behavior that will benefit them for a lifetime.
Below is an overview of our troop members’ expectations and obligations. Please keep in mind, we have limited positions available, so we consider applications based on; responsibility, shows respect for peers and adults, maintains acceptable classroom and campus behavior, and receives no misconduct tickets. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate bus riders because of scheduling. Any student we cannot place will be placed on an alternates list.
