About Our School...
At Ryan Elementary we are proud to teach our students the Three Ryan Rs: Respect, Responsibility, and Right to Learn in a Safe Environment. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school with students that have varying needs and abilities, as well as different backgrounds and experiences. We are also an anti-bullying school, and through weekly class meetings, our students and teachers discuss what it looks like and feels like to have a safe and comfortable environment to learn in every day.
Ryan Elementary is a school that prides itself on having a very active and dedicated P.T.O. The level of commitment and support our P.T.O. has demonstrated has been incredible! We have multiple quarterly events on and off campus throughout the year to bring our families together and stay connected as a community.
We are also constantly striving to offer our students opportunities to enrich their learning. We help students develop critical thinking and team building and creativity skills through STEM; an example would be working with our Tower Gardens and utilizing a hydroponic system. We also pride ourselves on having many voracious readers on campus, and as evidence we have sent teams to the finals of Battle of the Books. In addition each grade level of students support our community through
service projects that include organizing food, clothing, and/or toiletry drives, making blankets to donate to shelters, bagging donations at Feed my Starving Children, or cleaning up a nearby park to name a few. A variety of other fine extra-curricular activities enhance our students' education including our Ryan News Crew, choir, band, strings, student council, and Running Club.
Finally, and most importantly, we have a staff that is always striving for excellence by learning new research based teaching strategies that will best meet the needs of our students. We invite you to join our family!
